A studio built around slowing down

Lilac Row is a small nail studio that puts time, tidy work and honest advice ahead of volume.

A nail technician filing a client's nails at a manicure station

Why we opened

We wanted a place where a manicure felt like a pause, not a queue. That meant fewer chairs, longer appointments and a room that stays quiet.

Everything on the menu is something we are happy to do properly. If a set will not suit your nails, we will say so and suggest something that will.

Colour is chosen with you. We keep the wall of polish small and well edited so choosing is easy, and we are glad to mix a shade if you have one in mind.

Most of our clients book the same technician again. We think that is how you get nails that suit you.

How we work

  1. We start with your nails

A short conversation about shape, length and how you use your hands, before we pick up a file.

  2. We keep it clean

Metal tools are sterilised between clients, and files and buffers are used once and thrown away.

  3. We go gently

Gel always comes off by soaking, never filing, and we tell you what your nails can take.
